Normal Saline
IV normal saline, also known as 0.9% sodium chloride solution, is a sterile solution of salt and water that is used to replace fluids and electrolytes in the body. It is a type of intravenous fluid that is administered directly into the veins through an IV line.
Normal saline is commonly used in medical settings to treat dehydration, which can occur as a result of conditions such as diarrhea, vomiting, and excessive sweating. It can also be used to treat certain medical conditions, such as hypovolemia (low blood volume) and hyponatremia (low sodium levels in the blood).
